Material and  fabrication tecniques
Polycarbonate also refered to as Lexan, is opticaly-clear transparency, good impact resistance, light weight, weather resistance. This is best used for machine guards and high impact applications, or for use out doors
Acrylic also refered to as Plexiglas and Lucite is avaliable in  clear, white, black, and a variety of other colors, mirror finish, rods, tubing, balls, various other shapes and patterned styles. It may be flame polished or buffed to acheive a high polished edge.Acrylic is most commonly used for display cases, point of purchase displays,

Cell cast acrylic is manufactured to the highest standards of chemical, physical and optical properties.
Cell cast is used for speciality applications where a optical briliance is required such as museum cases and is better to be buffed to acheive a polished edge.
Styrene extruded, impact modified sheet, it is commonly printed on and thermoformed for signage and point of purchase displays.
Fabrication terms and applications
Edge finishes
P.E.T.G. This material is in compliance with FDA, Applications are commonly used in retail displays, interior sinage, medical packaging, storage bins, food tray, covers and machine guards
Flame polished
This is the most common used type of edge finish, The finished is acheived by using a flame on the surface to liquify the material  thus leaving it to a high polished edge.
We flame our edges after wet gritting  to remove any kerf , thus producing a finer finish
Buffed edge polished
Is done by a series of wet grit from a course to refining to a fine grit on  the edge and followed by a series  buffing compounds. This edge finish is normally used on museum cases, presentation award,or high end presentations,
Due to the amount of hand work involved and has a much higher cost
Saw cut edge
This type of edge showes the kerf of the saw blade or router bit leaving small markings on the surface
Machined edge
After the material is cut on the saw it is then machined to leave a smoother edge for finishing and presentation
